Watching Blake continue to push his limits and surprise Zed, Cherry, and himself has been fantastic, and I’m excited to see what the group tackles next. Regardless of the more measured pacing, the second part of the Fight for Survival trilogy is no less addictive and interesting. While it’s still very much about survival in hostile circumstances, the pacing and suspense is a little less edge-of-your-seat.

Rebellion does have a bit of a different feel to the story than Refuge. I loved the adventure, creativity, and unexpected moments in the storyline as much as I enjoyed seeing the love between Zed and Blake continue to push them to do whatever it takes to protect each other.

The second book in the Fight for Survival trilogy, Rebellion is part of a continuing storyline and delivers another unique action-laced adventure that had me grabbing my e-reader at every opportunity to get a few more minutes of reading in. In fact, after finishing this book, I’m thinking I may have to try more titles within the trope. Fantasies, especially involving space or alien life forms aren’t typically my jam, but as this is a favorite author, I tried the series and am absolutely hooked.
